40yrs. After: The Agent Orange Legacy

Not only did this country served totally ignore the damage it did to the Vietnamese people but here at home it, along with so many other issues, not only ignored those who served them but often out right denies the issues even exist, over the decades and wars from, so in their, poser, patriotic meme's and more they can justify their need not to Sacrifice as to the Responsibilities, the Veterans Administration, of the promises and duties to the few who served or are serving them!! finally, still grossly under funded and not built as promised, under Sec Shinseki, continuing under Sec McDonald, these issues were being addressed more intensely and with help from the Obama Executive Branch and it's Cabinet, even in Vietnam where monies were allocated, still not enough, to clean up many of the continued hot spots of Agent Orange in Vietnam, where the issues would blend with their charges and duties to the whole country!!

Apr 28, 2015 - Tan Tri doesn't know a thing about Agent Orange. But doctors say he lives with its effects every day, when he crawls off his wooden bed and waits for someone to feed him. He is 25.

His mother Vo Thi Nham was exposed to Agent Orange when U.S. forces showered the chemical across swathes of Vietnam half a century ago to the destroy jungle cover of its wartime enemy.

Nham believes it's the reason her son was born physically and mentally disabled.

"Other people around here were affected by Agent Orange, too, but it was really bad for us," Nham said at her home in Danang, central Vietnam. "At least they can walk - he can't."

Tri, slumped on the concrete floor at her feet, chimed in.

"I can walk with my arms!", he said, correcting her.

The Vietnam War ended 40 years ago this week and its memory is fading among its young population.

But Agent Orange is the enduring legacy it cannot forget, with children of a second postwar generation still being born with deformities which their doctors believe are linked to the defoliant. read more>>>

Neither of these recent wars have yet been paid for, nor the continued blowback from the spread and growth from the policies implemented!
Neither the long term results from, including the long ignored or outright denied existence of, till this Administrations Cabinet and Gen Shinseki, only Government branch consistent for the past six years, Veterans issues from!
As well as under deficits most of the, grossly under funded for decades and the wars from now, VA budget is still borrowed, with interest, thus added problem creating costs, with representative who control the purse strings blaming the mostly dedicated VA personal within, that shouldn't exist!
